Still no video gaming for the past couple of weeks. But I'm on schedule with work so i will have the weekend off so i may get to start my let's play of alan wake. Before lets plays were really a big thing i was doing a series of poorly recorded videos called story time mondays right here on this blog back in 2010/2011. I had started do one on alan wake, little did i know if i had better equipment back then i could have been big on the lets play train but my luck i had no funds for capture cards are all back then. I may bring that back even though I'm not a huge fan of lets plays as a whole. I'm not really a fan of watching someone talk over a game with commentary i care nothing about, now if it was dev commentary that would be interesting but commentary from manicgamerboy420 i could care less. I also only like watching something I've already played and what better person to watch playing games I've already played but me because i would be reliving moments in the games away from the game. So i make videos for me, and close friends not the gamer youtuber crowd which can be pretty caustic.
Well that said I was listening to some syd barret era pink floyd today and it got me thinking of a new mix to make. I made a mix composed of musical artist with some mental troubles that influenced their music in a deep way. In a few cases their lives ended in tragedy in other cases they broke through. Genius sometimes comes from a dark place but it shines through and brightens the world even if they are broken in the process and i thank them for their contribution to the world through musical art.
Shine on....
