I started with last.fm on the xbox 360 mostly has a radio alternative and then i gravitated towards pandora for the better UI again for radio alternative and i stuck with that for the longest and i mainly used their free versions since all it got rid of was ads and regular radio had more ads than they did and it wasn't worth 10 bucks a month.
I recently tried out spotify as my radio alt since it has an app on the ps4(see a theme) and i do like their playlists and the music library is very extensive. It also gave me a chance to build my own playlist for my music mixes for the site. So yesterday i took up a free trial of premium. At first it was like a drug i was adding everything to my library and it was nice to think of an album look it up and listen was pretty great, like the new modest mouse, or that old dying fetus album i don't have anymore, then to some rolling stones. Then i found out how to import your local files from pc and automatically add them to your library...then i found a flaw... Only 10,000 songs can be saves to your library. I have nearly 8000 on my pc then all the ones i had saved prior (like every album from artists i like lol) so i removed all from my library then re-adding my locals then i went back and added some extras...thats a pain if i pay for a music library service i should be able to build a library bigger than the one i have at home on pc.
So i ask friends what music service do you use if any? I mean for a long time i was against it (i still may be) for the loss of the integrity of the album, if everything is at your finger tips will you appreciate the music or will it fade into the convenient background.
That said I'm thinking free trialing google music since i read that they support a 50,000 song library which would be plenty for my at the moment. Apple supports more i read but I'm not in that ecosystem and never will be, i hate drm. I buy my digital music from either amazon or bandcamp and just import to iTunes, which i just use for s music player, because it is a great music player for PC, i just don't like the apple store.
So spotify? Google? Itunes? Or physical?
